From the Archives…

From the Archives …

is a selection of my published stories from the early 1990s through the early 2000s. The stories, like so much of my work, cover a wide variety of topics. In some cases the subjects are back in the news again today and that’s what prompts me to post the archived article. In other cases, the subject has a kind of universal human interest appeal and I just feel like I want to share the piece with a new readership. It’s weird returning to work I wrote as long as 20 years ago or so. I remember and don’t remember the pieces. I cringe at some of the writing that I thought at the time was so spot-on. Other times I’m pleasantly surprised it holds up so well. In some of these older articles I’ve made a few massages and outright corrections, usually of sylistic things, before posting.

Not all my “vintage” work on the blog is in the From the Archives category just now, rather it’s sprinkled throughout, but as time goes by I will consolidate more and more of the older pieces there.

Revisiting these stories is a trip back memory lane for me on many levels. I trust that for you the reader the work is a delightful new discovery.

You will find the From the Archives category in the list of categories on the right hand side of the blog. Click on it to scroll through the ever growing catalog of stories there and click on the ones that interest you.
